Hi There!

Welcome to my blog. I hope to encourage and inspire you to live a life pleasing to Jesus!

Come right on in...

He Doesn't Know Your Future

Last night at Wednesday night worship, the Pastor preached about "Dry Places". He brought up how the devil only knows our past. He does not know our future. If he would have known Jesus' future, he would have never wanted Him on the cross. Have you ever just stopped to think about that? All that he did to kill Jesus led to his own demise...

The great thing is that satan does not know your future, so we have to be careful not to continue to fall for the same ol thing each and everything time! The pastor also reminded us all of the story of Joseph. Joseph was favored by his father and his brothers haaated him because of it. What if Joseph would have been killed instead of being sold? An entire nation would have died. Joseph's dry places seemed to have lasted a long time, but he endured and he KNEW what God had showed him. He pressed on despite his circumstances...despite being thrown in jail for something he did not do, Joseph pressed on. What is at risk if you give up?

What is defeating you?

What has you in a dry place? For me, infertility can often seem like a dry place for me. I am up and down at times depending on what "triggers" it all. But I know that I cannot give up because our babies are coming. A person who has never dealt with infertility seemingly cannot relate. The ache of just wanting to hold a baby. And my desire is not only to hold a baby, but to see my husband with his own biological children. I imagine being treated well during my next pregnancy...I expect it to be much better than my 1st pregnancy, to be loved and not pressured to abort. To not have to go out and grab my own DQ strawberry malt because he is so willing to get whatever is needed. To see his eyes tear up when he hears the heartbeat for the first time...To not go to all doctor appointments alone.

And the best news yet...

Satan has no control over our futures. So yes, our hearts desire to leave this dry place, but if we keep our perspectives right, we will see that soon and very soon we will no longer be in this place. It is a season...Season's change (unless you are in Houston, TX where winter is summer and summer is more summer lol)...but ultimately season's change! Your season...my season WILL change.

Our God promises us that:

  1. "Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due SEASON we shall reap if we do not lose heart" Gal. 6:9 NKJV
  2. "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and ALL these things shall be added to you" Matt.6:33 NKJV
  3. "Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by PRAYER and supplication, with THANKGIVING, let your request be made known to God...{and His peace} will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" Phil.4:6
  4. "I have learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I'm just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am" Phil.4:12 MSG

Be confident in knowing that your future is already mapped out. It is bright! Be encouraged!
